dogs with jobs

They are the guiding eyes for the blind, the hearing ears for the deaf. They pick up items, they may alert a person of a seizure before it happens, they open doors and perform other tasks that their owners are not able to do themselves. They do their duty in the police force, serve proudly in the military. They are farm dogs keeping sheep in line, they sniff out land mines, find and dig people out of avalanches and they slink around baggage searching for narcotics and other illegal items at airports. They are the heroes, a real helping hand, or paw as it were.We would like to introduce these clever dogs with jobs and their stories on this page.
